About the event
Program Content:
As people live longer, aging-related diseases have become increasingly significant health challenges. With the growing elderly population in recent years, dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, characterized by symptoms such as memory loss and cognitive impairment, has been declared incurable by the medical community and has risen to become the fifth leading cause of death in the United States. However, alternative medicine, particularly acupuncture, has shown promising results in both theoretical research and clinical practice for the prevention and early intervention of geriatric diseases.
This seminar aims to provide knowledge of acupuncture therapy and other alternative medical approaches, along with clinical practices for effective interventions in dementia (Alzheimer’s). The goal is to equip clinical acupuncturists to serve the elderly better, helping prevent or alleviate dementia.
Participants in this seminar will learn:
The diagnosis and early differentiation of dementia (Alzheimer’s).
The etiology and pathogenesis of dementia (Alzheimer’s).
