Bin Sheng Dong – MD (China), Tui Na Oriental Bodywork Specialist, Chinese Herbalist

2006 marked Dr. Dong’s 50th year as a health care provider. He graduated as a MD from the Second Medical University in Shanghai in 1956 and completed extensive graduate training at Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medical University (including acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and Tui Na) in the 1970’s and 1980’s. From 1989-1992 Dr. Dong was Chief Physician in Charge at the Shanghai Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital. The Chinese Medicine Association honored him as the most valuable Eastern and Western Medical Doctor in China. In the United States, he was a visiting professor at both Massachusetts General Hospital and New England Medical Center in 1995. His many years of experience in both Chinese and western medicine make him an excellent consultant with internal medicine conditions that are difficult to treat, including gastrointestinal, endocrine, renal, diabetic, respiratory, cardiovascular, and autoimmune diseases. Additionally, he is well-experienced in Oriental Tui Na Bodywork.

Gang Yi (Gavin) Huang, Licensed Massage Therapist

Qigong Master Gavin Huang came from Xiamen China. He is a licensed message therapist, and certified Qigong Master in China, and also obtained a certificate in advanced Qigong training from New England School of Taiji. He specializes in Qigong massage and combining Western and Eastern styles of therapeutic massage.

He studied with Chinese Shaolin Qigong and Yi Jing Master WuJian since 1989. Following Master Wu, Gavin had gained the essence of Shaolin internal Kongfu and clinic treating skills, which has the characteristics of being easy to learn, quickly effective, and with no side effects. This form of internal kongfu and treatment can strengthen the physical body and also treat chronic illnesses. Master Gavin is well received by the public in his teaching of Qigong for many years in China. Gavin started to do Qigong Tuina by combining Qigong theory and traditional Chinese medicine theory that uses Qi as medicine, to best effect with no side effects, and inventing new way of treating. Gavin is specialized in Qigong Tuina with deepened depth and effect by opening channels, circulating Qi and blood, and improve immune system. His treatment also emphasizes looking at the body as whole and treating local disharmony by acupressure on different points to achieve the goal to expel disease, enhance health and prevent disease. Gavin has 10 years of clinical practice experience in treating insomnia, hypertension, headache, joint pain, back pain, arthritis, irregular periods, infertility both male and female, emotional problems, weight management and cosmetic treatment, and the effect as high as 90%.

With proper guidance from his teacher, working hard on practicing, and loving to help people, Gavin is able to transmit energy to the patient and produce warm, hot, and cool feelings, which help to harmonize the patient’s whole system, expel disharmony, and bring health back to the body. Gavin’s Qigong treatment can achieve acupuncture effects; it is especially good for people who are afraid of needles. Hing Lan Lo – BA, AAS, MAOM, RN, Licensed Acupuncturist, Chinese Herbalist

Ms. Lo believes acupuncture is a powerful tool for individuals to access their wholeness and healing power within, enabling the body to relieve pain and promote well being. Her special interests are acute or chronic musculo-skeletal pain management, radiation and chemotherapy support, autoimmune diseases such as IBS and MS, headache, stress reduction, depression, addiction recovery, menopausal issues, allergy and sinus problems. Ms. Lo emigrated to this country in 1986 from Hong Kong where she was a teacher, a researcher, and a community worker. Ms. Lo worked as an RN in oncology before receiving a master’s degree in Oriental Medicine (MAOM) from the New England School of Acupuncture, Watertown, MA in 2002.

Yuanling Liu – MA, MAOM, Licensed Dietitian, Acupuncture, and Herbalist

Yuanling Liu was born in China, in a family with a strong emphasis on maintaining a healthy body and mind through building good eating habits, a positive mind set and an active lifestyle. She started to practice Qigong exercises with her family as a child, and has always been interested in finding natural ways of restoring the body’s balance. Yuanling Liu has a Masters in Oriental Medicine from New England School of Acupuncture, and is a Licensed Acupuncturist by the Board of Registration in Medicine, Herbalist, and Dietitian in Massachusetts. Her special interests are treating: pain conditions, digestive disorders, GYN/fertility, anxiety/depression disorders, skin disorders, pediatrics, and weight management. She provides customized herbal formulations and meal plans for individual conditions. Yuanling has been traveling to China every year to further her study in Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, and Qigong. Yuanling is fluent in speaking, reading and writing Chinese and English, and she has studied two years of Spanish. Her goal is to combine traditional Chinese healing arts with modern nutrition to restore health, and create a vibrant and joyful life.

Eugenia “Gennie” Lai – MA, MAOM, Licensed Acupuncturist, Certified Chinese Herbalist

Eugenia completed four years of study and clinical work at the New England School of Acupuncture earning a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. she continues her professional development through apprenticeships to internationally recognized acupuncturists and has a personal tradition of annual trip to Taiwan for advanced trainings with well-known TCM practitioners there. Eugenia specializes in Japanese Style Acupuncture, a gentle style of result-oriented acupuncture. In the spirit of Oriental health care, Eugenia creates treatments tailored to each individual and geared towards treating illness at its root. As an herbalist, Eugenia’s herbal support acupuncture treatments. Eugenia specailizes in pain management including neck, shoulder, and back pains, headaches, and sciatica pain. she also treats woman’s issues including menopausal discomfort, fibromyalgia, and infertility.

Eric Tang – Tui Na Oriental Bodywork Specialist

Mr. Tang began his career at age 18 as an army medic specializing in acupuncture. After that he completed further studies for 2 years in the hospital level and worked clinically until 1988 when he relocated to Japan. For five years he practiced acupuncture and Oriental Bodywork at a Tokyo clinic and in 1993 he made the Boston area his home. Mr. Tang specializes in muscular pain conditions including pain management and tension relief. He also utilizes acupressure foot massage and facial rejuvenation massage.

Qin Wang – MD (China), Licensed Acupuncturist, Certified Chinese Herbalist

Ms. Wang graduated with an MD from Liaoning Traditional Medical College (China) in 1988 and subsequently worked as Physician in Charge and as a gynecologist at the Liaoning Traditional Medical Hospital and Liaoning Postal Hospital practicing acupuncture, herbal medicine, and Tui Na therapeutic bodywork. She has many years’ clinical experience in OB-GYN issues and pain management.

Shulai Wang – MD (China), Tui Na Oriental Bodywork Specialist, Chinese Herbalist

In 1971 Mr. Wang received his MD from Beijing Medical College and subsequently practiced Internal Medicine, Gynecology, and Pediatrics for many years. During the period of 1984-1987, he received additional training in acupuncture, Tui Na, and Chinese herbal medicine at Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. After that, Mr. Wang continued working at both the departments of Trauma and Injury and of Pediatrics for over 10 years. Once in the US, he conducted medical research at the University of Vermont and Columbia University (1998-2000). Since locating to the Boston area, he has worked as a Tui Na Oriental Bodywork Specialist. He specializes in musculo-skeletal conditions including acute and chronic injury, arthritis, but also in pediatric Tui Na treatments, sinus conditions, asthma, gastrointestinal disturbances, and headache.

Yadong Yang – MA, Medical Qigong Master

Qigong Master Yang’s pracitce of Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong for over twenty years enables him to both sense and emit energy associated with Qi (bio-electromagnetic fields). This ability allows him to detect and localize lesions in the human body and effectively heal medical problems. Master Yang is a member of the Chinese Medical Qigong Association and was principle Qigong instructor at the Keiwa Qigong Institute in Tokyo, Japan and in China. He has been practicing Medical Qigong in the United States since 1997, specializing in depression, heart disease, blood pressure imbalances, stroke, asthma, sciatica, paraplegia/hemiplegia, blood sugar imbalances, and thyroid conditions.

Lai Yee Yuen – BA, MAOM, Licensed Acupuncturist, Certified Chinese Herbalist

Lai Yee Received her Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture. She has treated patients with a variety of conditions ranging from physical pain to chronic illnesses and emotional disorders. Combining her undergraduate studies in the biological basis of psychology at the University of Chicago, she has a special interest in treating psycho-emotional condition such as anxiety and depression. The mind/body approach of Oriental Medicine is particularly effective for treating these conditions.

Wernjane Yue – Oriental Medical Practitioner

Wernjane Yue is a certified oriental medical practitioner. She has her Master Degree of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from New England School of Acupuncture. She is trained in Chinese and Japanese styles of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal medicine. She is continuously advancing her acupuncture skills and herbal medicine knowledge by studying with post graduate mentors, and she received further training in acupuncture and herbal medicine from Zhe Jiang TCM hospital at Hang Zhou in China.

Wernjane Grew up in Taiwan and has been practicing meditation for many years. Her style of treatments focus on balancing the whole body. Her expertise is in treating acute or chronic pain conditions from head to toe, emotional issues like stress, anxiety, mental restlessness, insomnia, and woman’s health issues such as fertility, PMS, and menopausal symptoms.

Yao Zhang – MD, MS (China), Licensed Acupuncturist, Certified Chinese Herbalist

Ms. Zhang received her MD from Hebei Medical College in 1982 and her MS from China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Beijing) in 1987. She is one of the first 10 practitioners to be certified (NCCAOM) as a Chinese Herbalist in the United States and has practiced acupuncture and herbal medicine since 1983. In 1993 she founded NEAOHS in Arlington, MA. Ms. Zhang taught in the New England School of Acupuncture for nine years and has practiced acupuncture and herbal medicine at the Spence Center for Women’s Health in Cambridge, MA. She specialized in OB-GYN issues and internal medicine.
